There’s no way I’m the only person who’s seen the similarities between Turians from Mass Effect, and Hork-Bajir from Animorphs. It’s mostly superficial similarities of course, but an awful lot of them.
First, let’s take a look at them.

My universe head-cannon is that turians are cousins of the Sangheili from Halo. There’s only small similarities, but enough for me. (even more when in armour)
-They’ve both got small waists and large chests (or neck carapace in a turians case).
-They both have mandibles.
-They have a similar foot structure.
-Most Sangheili armour looks very similar to a Turians crest.
